I know what it's like to sit in a pew, singing the hymns and hearing the sermons, while your heart is silently crying out with questions. "God, are you listening? Is there a specific key to unlock this situation in my life?" That search for a genuine, life-changing connection with God is the very journey that led me here.
The Turning Point
My name is Ernest Ekwoge, and my faith journey didn't begin in a dramatic storm, but in the gentle, persistent rain of a mother's love. On September 5th, 1995, in Ngaoundere, the Adamawa Region of Cameroon, something extraordinary happened. My mother did something that felt strange at first—she sat me down and preached to me as if I were a stranger she was leading home.
That day, the routine of 'going to church' shattered, and I truly met Jesus. I invited Him into my life not as a distant figure, but as my personal Lord and Saviour. I was graced to have a foundation, but that was just the beginning of a beautiful journey.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
The Journey of Growth
The path hasn't always been rosy. I've walked through valleys of doubt, faced challenges that tested my faith, and experienced seasons where the heavens seemed silent. But in every step, I clung to the Vine.
Learning to Pray With Power
It was in those challenging moments I discovered the profound power of targeted, scripture-based prayer. I learned that prayer isn't a magic spell; it's a divine conversation, aligning our hearts with God's will and His promises.
This persistence, this learning to pray with understanding, is what sustained me through difficult times and brought incredible breakthroughs. I discovered that when we pray God's Word back to Him, we're praying according to His will, and He delights in answering those prayers.
"And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for." - 1 John 5:14-15 (NLT)
My Foundation & Family
Today, I am blessed to be a humble husband to a beautiful, supportive wife and a proud father of two wonderful daughters. My family is my daily reminder of God's faithfulness and grace. They are the living testimony that God honors those who honor Him.
Coming from Kupe Muanenguba Division in the South West Region of Cameroon, I carry with me the rich heritage of my community and the values instilled in me from a young age. These foundations have shaped my understanding of faith, family, and purpose.
